What is the veneer machine used to produce?

Jun 17, 2025

Veneer is a material made by cutting wood into thin slices and is widely used in the furniture manufacturing field. Veneers made by veneer machines can be used to make high-quality dining tables, wardrobes, wooden structures, storage units and various household furniture. These pieces of furniture are not only exquisite in appearance but also highly durable, and are deeply loved by consumers.

To produce high-quality veneers, the latest veneer equipment is usually employed in modern processes to extract long pieces of wood from tree trunks. This process requires multiple steps to ensure the quality and performance of the final product. First of all, the logs will be sent to the veneer slicer for initial processing. At this stage, the wood undergoes a special treatment process known as "steaming". This process involves heating and softening the wood with steam, making it easier to process and altering its color and texture characteristics. The duration of steaming depends on the depth of the target color of the wood and usually lasts for several days.

Only high-quality wood that has been strictly selected will be used to make veneer. These woods can be classified into three types according to their thickness: micro, strong and tough, or solid. Before processing, the bark and surface dirt must be removed first to ensure the purity of the wood and the quality of processing. Subsequently, professional equipment such as veneer saws and veneer peelers are used to cut the wood to the required thickness. The application of these tools and technologies enables veneers to meet precise size requirements, thereby satisfying the demands of different furniture manufacturing.

After the cutting is completed, it is still necessary to further apply veneer technology to shape the grain of the wood. This step is crucial for enhancing the aesthetic appeal and functionality of the single board. Finally, before packaging and transportation, the wood undergoes processes such as drying and sanding to ensure its surface is smooth and flat, and it has good physical properties. The entire production process is closely linked, and each step reflects attention to detail and pursuit of quality. This rigorous production process is precisely the key reason why single-board furniture is so popular in the market.
