What is Edges Trimming Saws

The Edge Trimming Saw or Board Edger is a wood saw machine for trimming bark and edge from board processed by log multi rip saw. Its structure is simple and stable, a shaft with a group of saw blades driven by a small motor cut boards fast and smooth, a laser device is helpful for workers to get things done easily.

Advantages of Edges Trimming Saws

Increased Efficiency
Edging helps sawmillers process lumber quickly and efficiently. By trimming and squaring unedged boards, the machine creates straighter, more uniform boards to process more efficiently. Sideboards that formerly went to waste are now sawn into boards with less waste.
Adding a multirip to a sawmill's line-up boosts efficiency by simplifying the log breakdown process. The speed and accuracy of a band sawmill that breaks logs into cants improves further with the strength, simplicity, and accuracy of a multirip that saws these cants or blocks into finished boards.
A multirip also has fewer moving parts to maintain than a multi-head band resaw, which does a similar job. Fewer stoppages and less maintenance are money in the pocket, increasing efficiency and boosting productivity.

Improved Quality
The wood-mizer edger delivers consistent sizing that improves the quality of the sawn products.
A multirip's accuracy reduces the wet target size of a sawmill with less waste and higher yields from each board. It's simple: Boards must be the right size; otherwise, they will not sell. Well-set-up multirips are always cutting straight. Straight boards sell well and increase the sawmiller's profit.

Reduced Waste
Using an edger to trim and square unedged boards reduces waste and increases yield. An edger can easily produce sawn products from sideboards or slabs that are often left as waste. More sawn products and less waste build profits.
The accuracy that a multirip provides slashes the within-board size variation with less waste and higher yields, growing profits.

Versatility
Using an edger and multirip allows sawmillers to produce more lumber sizes and timber products faster. More sawn product made more quickly from various log shapes builds sales.

Increased Safety And Reduced Labour Costs
Using a board edger can help to improve safety by reducing the need for manual trimming and squaring of boards. This can help to reduce the risk of accidents and injuries and makes the sawmill workshop a safer place to work in.
Introducing a multirip can reduce labor costs with fewer workers needed to operate fewer machines and handle a more straightforward material flow through the mill.

How to Operate and Use Automatic Plywood Cutting Machine Edge Sawing Machine

Automatic edge sawing machine itself with a more humanized design concept, to meet the plate market saw edge needs any requirements, simple operation, manual or automatic start as one of the operation mode, automatic lifting platform positioning using integrated positioning function, automatic piling, so that the sawed sheet more neat, easier to pack, and reduce the cost of the price. All these show that the operation of fully automatic crossbar saw machine is very simple, but also to avoid some human mistakes.

Stable operation organization, prevent improper external force to form PCB tin surface, electronic parts solder joints, and other electrical circuits due to plate folding process damage. Special round knife data description, to ensure the PCB cut surface smoothness. Cut stroke interval adopts touch control five-stage adjustment, can quickly change different PCB scale. High frequency eye protection lighting equipment is installed to promote the operation quality of operators.

What Are The Proper Use Methods Of Automatic Edge Sawing Machine?
Lubricant will be used on many parts of the automatic edge sawing machine. This is because many parts are exposed to the air for a long time and placed in a dark and humid position, which leads to rust on the mechanical surface, that is, lubrication process, but some secret parts are easy to cause damage if not careful. The following will tell you what role it will play in maintenance and correct use.

First, lubrication and reduce friction resistance. The role of lubricating oil is to lubricate various parts of the engine and form a layer of oil film between the two surfaces to reduce friction resistance and make the operation more smooth.

Two, sealing effect. The lubricating oil must form an effective seal between the piston ring and the cylinder to prevent the leakage of the steam body and the immersion of external pollutants.

Three, cooling effect. In the process of operation, the heat or high temperature generated by the friction between the machine parts and the machine parts, the role of the lubricating oil is to cool and reduce the temperature of the engine.

Four, cleanliness. Take away the harmful impurities and insoluble substances that do not burn in the parts, so that these pollutants quickly away from the lubricating surface and avoid the formation of oil sludge.

Five, anti-corrosion function. Lubricating oil can provide contact parts completely separated oil film, will reduce the chance of parts contact and wear, avoid metal surface corrosion.

Now, because of the automation of automatic edge sawing machine, it has brought great economic benefits for the major enterprises, reduced the internal production costs of enterprises, and increased the profit space of enterprises.

Proper Use:

  • In case of abnormal sound and vibration, rough cutting surface, or peculiar smell, the operation must be terminated immediately, and the fault should be checked in time to avoid accidents.
  • If cutting aluminum alloy or other metals, special cooling lubricant should be used to prevent the saw blade from overheating, tooth paste, and other damage, affecting the cutting quality.
  • The chip discharge groove and slag suction device of the equipment shall ensure smooth flow to prevent the accumulation of slag into lumps, which will affect the production and safety.
  • When dry cutting, please do not cut continuously for a long time, so as not to affect the service life and cutting effect of the saw blade; Wet sheet cutting, should add water cutting, at the same time to guard against leakage.
  • When starting cutting and stopping cutting, do not feed too fast to avoid broken teeth and damage.

How to Store Sawmill Blades

01.

Safely unpack sawmill blades

When your sawmill blades arrive, it's important to know how to safely unbox and prepare the blades for sawing. Always wear safety glasses and gloves when handling sawmill blades.

  • Follow the directions printed on the box to make sure the proper side is facing upward. Use a knife to cut through packing straps and open the box.

  • Before removing the blade from the box, verify that the teeth are pointing away from your body and the metal clip is securing the blades. Cut the plastic zip tie holding the blades together.

  • For pretzel-packed blades in a flatpack box, take hold of the innermost blade. Free it from the remaining blades in the box and pinch it together to guide it through the metal clip opening.

  • Firmly control the freed blade in your hands to continue guiding the blade out of the box.

Storing sawmill blades correctly is important because mishandling your blades can lead to potential blade damage and negatively impact your overall sawing performance. Here are a few tips and recommendations on how to best store your sawmill blades so they are ready to saw when you are.

02.

Store sawmill blades in a clean, dry place

You can also use a permanent marker to write onto the sawmill blade, the date that it had been used, the style of blade, and how much life is left in the blade.

Make sure your blade is secure and won't come undone by tying it together with a piece of wire or twine.

Do not stack sawmill blades directly against each other or throw them together, as this can dull the blade tips or change the tooth set.

Stack two sawmill blades back-to-back, using dividers between each set of blades to prevent the teeth from making contact with each other.

If you'll be storing sawmill blades for longer periods of time, make sure the blades are dry and coat them with lubricant before storing.

After storing blades for longer periods of time, you may see surface rust appear on sawmill blades. You do not need to remove surface rust before sawing. Surface rust does not generally affect sawing performance and will be removed from the blade as soon as you begin sawing due to the blade lubrication and moisture in the wood. However, before setting and sharpening sawmill blades, try to remove any surface rust with lubrication such as wd40, silicon, or brake cleaner and wipe off with a rag or bristle pad. It is not recommended to soak blades in diesel, kerosene, or environmentally unfriendly chemicals.

Points and Methods of Adjusting Parts on Edges Trimming Saws

Finishing Knife
The adjustment of the finishing cutter is similar to that of the roughing cutter in that the finishing cutter has several handles for adjustment. The left and right handles are vertically oriented and are responsible for different adjustments. The handle on the left is used to adjust the work done on the upper R-knife, while the handle on the right is used to change the job done on the lower R-knife.
There is also a handle at the end of the motor; when the handle is turned clockwise, it is a backward cutter so that the edge after sealing is small, while when the handle is turned counterclockwise, it is an inward cutter so that the edge after sealing is larger. In practical application, experienced edge banding machine operators can be skilled in using the handle; you can adjust out of the smooth lines and a more rounded edge banding effect to achieve the best.

Taper Wheel
The Taper wheel is divided into the upper taper wheel and lower taper wheel; its strength is according to the motor seat on the chuck screw to adjust. When the taper wheel is turned clockwise, its pressure increases; when the taper wheel is turned counterclockwise, its pressure decreases. However, the pressure to adjust the taper wheel should be moderate. Many novices who operate edgebanding machines commit some operations from time to time, changing the pressure of the tapered wheel to a greater or lesser extent.
Such a mistake in adjustment will certainly impact the performance of the edge banding machine. Suppose the pressure of the taper wheel is adjusted large when sealing the edge of the plate. In that case, the taper wheel seat back resistance will be very large, which will lead to bad trimming, or in more serious cases, it will lead to the edge sealing process of the plate depletion or edge sealing machine failure. If taper wheel pressure is not enough, the taper wheel can not play the role of application, which also leads to trimming the edge.

Polishing Wheel
There is a degree of polishing wheel adjustment, according to the experienced workers of edge banding machine manufacturers; generally, the lower surface of the polishing wheel is lower than the upper surface of the plate by three to five millimeters more. Specific details of polishing wheel adjustment are as follows. Firstly, use the six-millimeter Allen wrench to loosen the two M8 screws, and then move the motor in and out by hand to a suitable position for the next operation.
Next, use the fishtail handle to adjust the motor so that when rotated clockwise, the motor moves down and vice versa. After adjusting the motor, tighten the M8 screw. It should be noted that when adjusting here, the motor should not move downward too much. Otherwise, the front end of the plate will easily lose its edges and cause wear and tear, but at the same time, it should not move upward too much. Otherwise, it will affect the polishing effect and the plates quality.
