On August 6, inside a production facility in an industrial park, robotic arms precisely handled raw materials while conveyor belts smoothly transported finished boards-all under the watchful eye of operators in a central control room. The fully digitized production line efficiently managed all 15 processes, from raw material input to final packaging.

"We produce over 17,000 decorative-oriented strand boards daily, which are eco-friendly and high-performance, making them ideal for premium home décor and custom furniture," explained a company executive. The key to this efficiency lies in smart manufacturing-AI-driven optimization of processing parameters and predictive maintenance reduce waste and enhance productivity.
Since its launch, the production line has maintained zero inventory. Processing raw materials into finished products now takes just 4-5 hours, a significant leap from traditional methods. Advanced automation also reshapes labor dynamics. A local worker shared, "My job now focuses on equipment checks-less physically demanding but more skilled and better paid."
In the first half of the year, output value reached 128 million yuan, with products distributed across Northwest China and expanding to Eastern and Southern markets. As an industry leader, the company is driving regional supply chain growth, attracting downstream manufacturers for surface finishing, edge banding, and hardware accessories.
"Collaboration with top-tier brands ensures our standards align with industry benchmarks," the executive noted. Future plans include integrating with other building material producers to shift from single-board supply to full-home customization, shortening delivery cycles through streamlined production.
