On a modern particleboard production line, automated equipment operates smoothly while an AI visual inspection system conducts efficient and precise quality checks. The workshop is filled with the faint, aromatic scent of wood as the production line hums efficiently-wood particles are hot-pressed into shape, then undergo cooling, trimming, and sanding processes before finally transforming into smooth artificial panels. Newly produced boards are "examined" by the intelligent inspection system, which can instantly identify dozens of types of flaws with an accuracy rate exceeding 99%. The labor-intensive inspection work once reliant on the human eye has now been transformed into a precise and efficient intelligent operation, serving as a vivid example of a private enterprise leveraging artificial intelligence to enhance quality and efficiency.

"In the past, these processes were highly dependent on manual labor. Now, machines can complete them with high quality," explained the company's IT lead.

 

Low efficiency and difficulty in ensuring data accuracy were once common challenges in traditional manufacturing. Previously, the company used manual recording of production data followed by system entry, which was not only time-consuming and labor-intensive but also prone to errors. Today, by building a unified production data cloud platform and establishing an industrial internet platform and a master data system, all production processes have achieved full automation, informatization, and intelligent control.

"All production line data is uploaded in real-time, covering the entire workflow including raw material usage, consumption statistics, and shift scheduling," the representative stated. The digital transformation has not only reduced costs but also fundamentally improved product quality stability.

 

In the quality inspection stage, the AI system, through reinforced learning on dozens of common defect categories, can quickly and accurately identify issues. It then signals the grading, classification, and automatic packaging modules to achieve automatic sorting of premium, qualified, and non-conforming products.

 

As technology is implemented and products continue to iterate, the company has set its sights on the broader ASEAN market.

Its AI-enhanced high-quality products have successfully entered premium markets like Japan, leveraging international certifications and environmental standards. Products like eco-friendly flame-retardant and moisture-resistant boards precisely meet the needs of countries and regions with high requirements for construction quality.
