1) Reasonably adjust the glue coating speed of the glue coating machine. The speed of the glue coating roller should be adjusted appropriately according to the type of glue and the thickness of the veneer during use. Generally, the glue coating speed of the glue with higher viscosity should be slower to prevent uneven glue coating on the surface of the veneer. The glue coating speed can be faster when gluing thin veneers.
2) Reasonably adjust the pressure of the glue coating roller on the veneer. When gluing veneers, the appropriate pressure of the glue coating roller on the veneer is beneficial to the uniform glue layer on the surface of the veneer and no leakage. However, for veneers of different thicknesses, the pressure applied by the glue coating roller should be different. For thin veneers, the pressure of the glue coating roller on the veneer should be smaller to prevent the veneer from being crushed. When the glue coating speed is high, the pressure of the glue coating roller on the veneer should be adjusted smaller.
3) Reasonably adjust the gap between the glue squeezing roller and the glue coating roller. There is a speed difference between the glue squeezing roller and the glue coating roller, which plays a role in scraping off the excess glue on the surface of the glue coating roller and can control the amount of glue coating. However, the gap between the two should be adjusted appropriately according to the type of glue. The gap of glue with high viscosity should be adjusted larger, and the gap of glue with low viscosity should be adjusted smaller to prevent the glue from leaking out of the gap.
4) Reasonably control the amount of glue in the glue tank. The amount of glue in the glue tank has a certain influence on the amount of glue attached to the surface of the glue roller. Usually, the amount of glue in the glue tank should be able to make the groove of the lower glue roller well coated with glue. Too little glue in the glue tank will reduce the amount of glue attached to the surface of the glue roller, resulting in uneven distribution of the glue layer on the surface of the glued veneer or leakage; too much glue will cause too much glue on the surface of the glue roller, resulting in waste of glue. For the glue coating machine with an upper squeeze roller, the groove between the upper squeeze roller and the glue roller is used to store glue. The amount of glue in the groove should be reasonably controlled by adjusting the glue delivery amount.
