Particle board, also known as chipboard, is a versatile and cost-effective building material widely utilized in the construction industry. It is manufactured from wood chips, sawdust, bagasse, bulrush, and other small wood particles bonded together with synthetic resin or other adhesives. The production process of particle board involves several key stages to ensure the quality and durability of the final product.
In the chipper and flaker section of the production line, raw materials are initially reduced into qualified chips by the drum chipper. These chips are then carefully transported to the chip silo before being fed into the knife-ring flaker. Through precision engineering in this stage, these chips are transformed into uniform flakes which are subsequently stored in wet flake silos for further processing.
Moving on to the dryer section of production where efficiency and precision play crucial roles in ensuring high-quality particle board output. The flakes discharged from the wet flake silo undergo conveyance to reach either a hot air dryer or an oil dryer - two popular types used at this manufacturing stage. Meticulous control over temperature and moisture levels during drying processes ensures that after leaving the dryer machine, moisture content can be controlled under 5%. This critical step guarantees that subsequent stages of particle board production can proceed smoothly with consistent quality standards upheld throughout.
