Fifty-two Wood Enterprises in Linyi City Have Won Orders Worth Hundreds Of Millions Of Yuan From Southeast Asia

Jun 23, 2025

From March 2nd to 5th, 52 wood industry enterprises organized by our city joined hands to create a nearly 1,000-square-meter special exhibition area at the 2025 China Home Green Supply Chain Overseas Exhibition and EFE Malaysia International Export Furniture Exhibition. They used high-end boards, smart furniture, custom home furnishings, wood art decoration and other wood industry chain products as stepping stones to create a "Yimeng Whirlwind". Over the four days, a total of more than 5,700 visitors were received, 1,518 potential customers were obtained, and on-site potential orders worth 192 million yuan were signed. This largest furniture industry exhibition in Southeast Asia witnessed the first successful battle of the "China's Board Capital" group in exploring overseas markets.
On the first day of the event, a long queue formed in front of the booth of Shandong Qiansen Wood Industry Group. The world is vast and can accommodate the wood industry of Linyi. The formaldehyde emission of our eco-friendly boards is significantly lower than that of local products. So far, 16 furniture enterprises have signed cooperation memorandums. Chairman Guo Yongsheng couldn't hide his excitement. This enterprise from Shangye Town, Feixian County, which originated from a chemical factory, plans to set up a board sales warehouse in Malaysia for the first time when going abroad, and expand to Southeast Asian markets such as Singapore, New Zealand and Indonesia.
The spillover effect of the exhibition continues to ferment. The energy-concentrating board samples at the booth of Shandong Shengchang New Materials Co., Ltd. were all snapped up, and more than 20 international customers were added to General Manager Ling Fengxia's mobile phone. At the end of the month, a Malaysian client will come to Linyi for factory inspection. Our goal is to capture 50% of the market share in Southeast Asia within three years. The female entrepreneur disclosed that the enterprise is developing wood steel plate products to fill the gap in the mid-to-high-end market.
Teng Yue, the chairman of Shandong Heyang Wood Industry Co., LTD., the first wood industry enterprise from Linyi to go global and has already established a firm foothold in the Malaysian market, shared his overseas experience at the China Linyi (Malaysia) Economic and Trade Fair upon learning that someone from his hometown had come. Heyang Wood Industry has been deeply engaged in the Southeast Asian market. Through a three-step approach of "trade - investment and factory construction - forest resource development", it has built a wood industry park in Yili District, Perak State, Malaysia. The annual profit contribution accounts for a quarter of the group's total revenue.
The government provides a platform to give enterprises more confidence to "go global". The person in charge of the Linyi Wood Industry Task Force introduced that organizing wood enterprises to "go global" and participate in exhibitions this time is a practical measure to implement the vigorous promotion of the "Hundred Groups and Thousand Enterprises · Mall Going Global" initiative by the municipal committee and the municipal government. As an industrial cluster with 13,000 wood enterprises and an annual output value of 300 billion yuan, Linyi is promoting the upgrading of its wood industry through a "four-wheel drive" approach: drawing up an industrial investment promotion map and implementing precise investment promotion, establishing a North American - ASEAN - Guangxi returnee entrepreneurship park, promoting green products such as Wanhua He Xiang Board, and cultivating digital benchmark enterprises like Tyson Risheng.
Zhao Yixue, the chairman of Linyi Heyi Exhibition Co., LTD., one of the exhibition organizers, disclosed that over 90% of the participating enterprises signed contracts on the first day and clearly stated that they would continue to participate in subsequent "going global" activities. From "China's Capital of Wood Panels" to "the Global source of Wood Industry Innovation", our city has actively responded to the national "Belt and Road" initiative. With an innovative model of "government taking action + enterprises daring to act", we are expanding the space for international cooperation in the process of opening up and writing a new industrial legend on the "Belt and Road".
